Wool Workshop - Taiki HighSchool 2025

This workshop introduces Taiki High School students to sheep wool as a natural building material through hands-on experimentation.
Participants will manually open, tease, and layer raw wool to explore its thermal, tactile, and spatial qualities using low-energy, non-industrial processes.
The workshop emphasizes learning through making, allowing students to observe how wool responds to compression, air, and environmental conditions. By working directly with local material, students gain insight into sustainable material cycles and alternative approaches to building and design.
